Based in Denver, Demon Funkies have been playing together since their formation in 2003. In 2005 they released their debut album, 5,280' of Funk, which was greatly received by the public, leading them to successful shows throughout the region, from Colorado to Wyoming and Montana. In 2008 they released Punk Junkies, a collection of their more rock oriented material that garnered glowing reviews from Westword Magazine, Colorado Music Buzz and 4 out of 5 stars from the Vail Daily. In 2009, amid a steady stream of Colorado dates, Demon Funkies were award winner at Westword Music Showcase Awards for "Best Funk Band" category.
Their flair for delivering unique musical performances is unmatched, winning fans and critics alike. The Denver Daily News wrote, "Demon Funkies is an animated band that loves to interact with its audience jumping down on the floor, dancing, throwing out free stickers and Snickers, whatever it takes."
